MIDWEST DDRCC ALLIANCE WORKSHOP POSTPONED UNTIL FALL 2021 (WUSM to Host)

2 day seminar

The Midwest DDRCC Alliance brings together DDRCCs from six institutions with regional proximity, complementary expertise, and diverse areas of scientific focus. Those include Mayo, University of Chicago, University of Cincinnati, Michigan University, Case Western and WUSM. The purpose is to identify and co-created expanded opportunities for joint research initiatives, collaboration and sharing of core technologies to catalyze digestive disease research, cost savings and integrated career development efforts.

The Alliance’s first meeting was in June of 2012 in conjunction with the NIDDK DDRCC Director’s meeting in Rochester, MN. The initial meeting was followed by two meetings a year as well as ongoing teleconferences.

The Alliance also began a Joint P&F Workshop which allows 2 Pilot and Feasibility members from each of the 6 centers to convene and present their current research and to foster collaboration between the Centers. The 9th Annual MDA Workshop will be held at the Washington University, Spring 2021.

The Alliance also has in place a collaborative Biospecimen Transfer Acceleration Project (Material Transfer Agreement).
