Stem Cell-Genome Anatomy Project (SC-GAP)

The Stem Cell-Genome Anatomy Project (SC-GAP) is a multisite, NIDDK-funded consortium. Among the missions of the SC-GAP is to establish data-sharing repositories for researchers interested in stem cells. The following links will take you to a number of databases of immunostains and stem cell gene expression:

SC-GAP at NIH: the main site for the SC-GAP, which has a search engine for genes expressed in stem/progenitor cells in multiple tissue types. http://www.scgap.org (stem-cell genome anatomy project with gene expression data from numerous mouse, human, and zebrafish stem cells of various tissues)

Washington University Stem Cell-Genome Anatomy Project: a searchable database of mRNAs expressed in adult mouse gastric and intestinal progenitor cells. http://genome.wustl.edu/GSCGAP/ (database of mRNAs expressed in gut stem cells)

Gastroenterological MISFISHIE Database: a database of images of immunostains of proteins whose mRNAs are expressed in adult gut progenitor cells. We are expanding this database every day, and each image comes with cartoons showing gut location, cell-types, and subcellular localization of immunoreactive proteins. http://misfishie.wustl.edu/ (database of immunostains of stomach, small intestine, and colon) |
